Born on 16 August 1954 in Piotrków Trybunalski.
Member of ZPAF since 25 March 1988.
He graduated in civil engineering from the Kraków University of Technology. Since 1986, he has held the position of a photographer at the Jagiellonian University Museum. In 1981-1982, Zygier was a member of the SEM group, and in 1982-1988, he was closely associated with the Kultura Zrzuty art movement. He has participated in a number of events and meetings organised by Łódź Kaliska, and has collaborated with such magazines as Tango and Hali Gali. He has documented artistic events, including plein airs in Teofilów, Silent Film, Greetings to Art Officials, Festival of Needed Art. In 1990, he co-founded, together with Katarzyna Pochrzęst and Adam Rzepecki, the Stacja.Pi.Stacja group, who were active in the area of theatre, video, performance and were known for their spectacular performances at the Kraków Theatrical Reminiscences Festival. In 2002, he returned to analytical and conceptual photography, which he has been pursuing in his Two and One series. He has received a grant from the City of Kraków (1988) and the Minister of Culture and National Heritage (2009).
