Beata Długosz
She was born in 1978.

In 2010, she earned the title of a Film Art Doctor in Photography at the Film School in Łódź (PWSFTviT) for her dissertation “Intentional landscape. Nowa Huta – fragments, cracks, openings. She lives and works in Krakow, where she teaches photography at the Media Art Institute of the Pedagogical University. She has received a Grant of the Mayor of Krakow, and her works are in the collection of the Museum of the History of Photography in Krakow.
Her artwork follows two paths. On the one hand, she focuses on subjective documentary photography, and on the other, on art photography, exploring such phenomena as the emanation of light, the passage of time, photochemical processes. She uses the traditional black and white technique and experiments with cameraless photography, the photographic book, and site-specific installations.
