In the 1970s, the artist began to create his ‘Leśniaks’ – a series of pictures depicting his own shadow, ranging from the early conceptual black and white photographs with the shadow in the natural landscape to his later colour compositions exploring the motif of shadow in other contexts. In his later works, he has also engaged in formal experiments (mandalas) and film productions.
